Sotto Il Sole Di Roma was beautiful and Raul was great- always smiling, friendly and very helpful. A short 10mins walk to Piazza Risorgimento and the Vatican, it was right in the heart of all the Rome attractions without the noise. Great restaurants are only a stone's throw away!

I loved staying at Sotto II Sole Di Roma. It was clean and the service was outstanding, we enjoyed excellent cappuccinos for breakfast. As well, Raul had great advice about things to see in Rome and helped us get a taxi to the train station. My daughter and I felt very safe and secure in the neighbourhood. I would highly recommend staying here. Thank you for a great time in Rome..

Raul, the host, did everything to help you and to make you feel at home. He arranged our tickets for excursions and our trip to Sorrento. You could call him each time of day when you had questions or needed any help. We really liked his energy and funny conversations each morning. The room was nice and clean. You can walk to the centre of Rome, or take the bus (€1). You are close to the Vatican and the river. We had the best time there.

The Hotel was very comfortable, clean and conveniently located within walking distance for buses, the metro and all the major attractions. The rooms had very effective A/C, window shutters and double glazing which kept the street noise out. Ample shelf and wardrobe space and en-suit bathroom. The Breakfast selection was more than adequate. The hotel managment were very accomodating with check-in timings, holding baggage and arranging transfers. As the Hotel is located on the 3rd floor there was a convenient lift. We received a very warm welcome and were given excellent restaurant recommendations and directions from Raul and weather up-dates from Mario.

Kind staff and neat interior. Good location..
I have stayed the hotle 4 nights and I have not got any new towel. I have asked to change towel 3 times. Cleaning was not so nice. I have not expected much of breakfast.. And it is not good as I expected.

It is a quiet neighborhood. Given the rates in Rome and the proximity to Vatican (5 min. Walk to St. Peter's square; Castle of St. Michael; 10-15 minute walk to Pza. Navona and its nearby shops), I would say it is an excellent b&b for those who look for some cozy, quiet place, without spending too much. It has a lift that can accommodate 3 to 4 people at a time - which is a big plus because my friends booked somewhere else (hotel, serviced apartments and a b&b) and they did not have any elevator. Raul, the manager, personally handles your needs and questions, including preparing your breakfast. Very personable and accommodating.
It was a bit disconcerting not to see a big sign saying "Sotto Il Sole di Roma" outside the building, when you are new to the place and the cab driver is insisting that that is the address and building does not look like a hotel and nor a sign displayed, and the cab driver already wants you to alight.

The building is nice, with old fashion elevator, very interesting. The room looks very cozy, clean with high ceiling, sizable washroom, and very close to the Vatican City. It is far to walk to the Colosseum & Forum.
It's next to a busy street so very noisy all day until really late at night. We could hear a noise (sound like a fan in the washroom) from other rooms in the building. This noise from a fan or something similar was on all evening until close to midnight then it was shut off. It would be nice to have peace and quiet in the room.

Welcoming staff and general approach. Level of privacy-I was afraid a bit that I will be disturbed by other guests but it did not come true. Very much liked the location-5 minutes from Vatikan and S. Angel Castle. Possible to walk to the centre. Billa located 2 minutes away. Easily reachable from the airport-shuttle bus on Piazza Cavour 5 minutes from the hotel. Wifi access working with no problem.
